W ramach kolejnej edycji "Ogrodu nauki" Instytut Pedagogiki zaprasza na wykład otwarty dr Cecilii Zsögön, Universidad de Buenos Aires (profesor wizytująca APS) pt. "Mapping the backlash against human rights and its implications for childhood" w dniu 27 stycznia 2021 r., godz. 13.00
Wykład ma na celu nie tylko prezentację osoby, która od pół roku związana jest z Akademią (jako profesor wizytująca), ale również stworzenie interdyscyplinarnego zespołu badawczego. Serdecznie zapraszamy osoby zainteresowane problematyką praw człowieka (w szczególności praw dziecka) i ich współczesnym statusem w kontekście globalnych zjawisk o kryzysowym charakterze.
Po wykładzie odbędzie się krótka dyskusja (wykład i dyskusja będą prowadzone w języku angielskim).

"Can human rights help reverse the devastating consequences of Covid-19 pandemic for children? To answer this question, we will discuss the origin of the narrative and discourse of human rights and their potential as enforcement mechanisms to reverse vulnerability, prevent abuses, and promote solidarity and justice. The past decade has seen a backlash against human rights on almost every front; worsened by the coronavirus outbreak which is causing widespread global disruption and exacerbating pre-existing inequalities. We will discuss initiatives tending to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on children, to increase their level of protection and guarantee access to their rights, which are being severely compromised during these turbulent times. After my presentation, I invite researchers who would like to cooperate in team building for grant application and joint research in this field."
