The Greencoin project benefited from a grant of €2,05 million received from Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway under the EEA Funds and the state budget of Poland via the National Centre for Research and Development. The goal of the Greencoin project was to create a system for promoting environmental behavior through an alternative

digital currency.
