Implementation period: January 1, 2025 – December 31, 2027

Summary:
EDU-LAB is a European research project focused on understanding and improving the experiences of young people (aged 15-30) in the field of education and training (E&T) and their entry into the labor market. With an emphasis on equality and inclusion, the project examines indicators of participation, progress, and completion of secondary and higher education and vocational training. By analyzing policies, investments, and systemic factors across the European Education Area (EEA), EDU-LAB aims to identify effective strategies for promoting inclusion, reducing early school leaving, and increasing opportunities for workplace learning.

Project objectives:
Increase the number of young people with higher education
Reducing the number of people leaving education and training early
Increasing the number of people learning in the workplace as part of vocational education and training
Increasing the number of students belonging to underrepresented groups (e.g., due to gender, ethnic minority, migration, etc.)

Expected results of the project:
Developing comprehensive models of educational and professional development in individual countries of the European Education Area, taking into account their mutual and largely general conditions.
Assessing the effectiveness of programs and investments in higher and vocational education
Providing new quantitative and qualitative evidence on how factors such as programs and investments aimed at strengthening equality and integration contribute to the educational and professional development of young people, including participation in classes and completion of higher and vocational education

Izabella Kucharczyk PhD
Implementation period: September 1, 2024 – February 28, 2027

Summary:

The project focuses on introducing and developing evidence-based, innovative, and interdisciplinary methods of working with children aged 5-10, including children with special needs, based on the use of movement. The aim of the project is to broaden the competences of academic teachers and future teachers in the field of innovative learning and teaching methods. The methods used in the project combine learning with physical activity in order to promote and support the academic, motor, cognitive, emotional, and socio-moral development of students.

The aim of the project is to provide training for academic teachers and students in innovative teaching methods to help them develop the skills necessary to work with preschool and school-age children. Innovative educational materials, such as videos and a book, will be published. The results of the project will be disseminated nationally and internationally through seminars, and a website and social media will be used for long-term promotion.

The project will result in the improvement of teachers' and students' competences through the introduction of innovative teaching methods, the book “Learning by Moving! Innovative and Interdisciplinary Teaching Methods in Preschool and Primary Education” and a syllabus containing the “Learning by Moving!” course program. The learning outcomes achieved during the project will be confirmed by micro-credentials.

The inclusion of interdisciplinary teaching methods for children through physical activity is an aspiration to create more interactive and effective educational environments.

HYGGESTARMODEL – a new perspective and application

The project “Hygge Star Model – a new perspective and application” is co-financed by the European Commission in the amount of EUR 556,000.

EN Funded By The EU POS

Project No.: 101183077

Project manager at APS: Dorota Jasielska PhD

Implementation period: September 1, 2024 – August 31, 2028

Project summary:

The main focus of this project is the interdisciplinary exploration of HYGGESTARMODEL – a comprehensive framework designed to assess motivation for self-management in an organizational context. This study aims to clarify various aspects of the newly conceptualized HYGGESTARMODEL, including its theoretical foundations, practical applications, and empirical validation. The project addresses an important HR and management issue, namely how to effectively motivate Generation Z to engage and succeed in the workplace.
A key element of this undertaking is the development of a new measurement tool, namely the Universal Hygge Star Questionnaire (UHSQ), adapted to capture the multifaceted dimensions of organizational motivation. Strong empirical verification will be carried out using Bayesian Averaging of Classical Estimates (BACE), in which we can combine some prior knowledge about the model distribution with the data. In this way, BACE serves as an example of a Bayesian approach to combination, in which the final results are averaged across the entire model space. In addition, the proposal includes the creation of a cross-sector research team tasked with developing test protocols and rigorously validating the results obtained from HYGGESTARMODEL. Named “Hygge Star Model - a New Perspective and Application” (HYGGESTARMODEL), this project aims to offer new insights and practical implications for increasing motivation and organizational effectiveness.

Completion date: September 1, 2024 - February 28, 2027

Project summary:

The EARLY-ASD project aims to develop innovative digital tools, a course, and methodological guides for preschool and early school teachers so that they can better support 3-7-year-old students on the autism spectrum.
One of the main objectives of the project is to promote inclusive education by equipping teachers with the skills to work with children with ASD in diverse educational environments. Particular emphasis is also placed on early support for the development of social and emotional skills in children on the autism spectrum through the creation of easily accessible social stories in digital form.
The project includes both research and implementation activities. The research will involve literature reviews and a detailed analysis of the experiences and needs of preschool teachers.

Expected project results:

- Development of a course program for preschool teachers, with an emphasis on early intervention for children with ASD.
- Creation of digital social stories to support the development of social and emotional skills.
- Development of a practical guide for teachers entitled “How to use digital social stories in the development of children with ASD.”
- Training future teachers in the use of these tools in educational practice.
- Promoting the results of the project at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
