We invite you to listen and watch the recorded open lecture by prof. Mooli Lahad, a specialist from Izrael, founder and president of The International Stress Prevention Center, where for over 40 years, together with his team, he has been supporting people in crisis, experienced by various types of traumatic situations - traffic accidents, natural disasters or war.
Prof. Lahad shared his knowledge, experience and reflection as part of a lecture entitled “40 years of community stress prevention and what do we know about it?”
Covid 19 has been a wakeup call to so many of the psychosocial strata, forcing us to see the community as a whole and not just individuals, couples, families or groups. The Post Covid have a major impact on mental health, the education and social systems and the numbers of 'normal' people who seek support and counseling is surmounting the abilities of any clinic to respond to, not to mention teenagers and the elderly, growing violence and depression and more. So what do we know about community resilience? What are the challenges and insights we have after 40 years of work in communities following crises and disasters and what we can do to meet these challenges.
Prof. Mooli Lahad and his team have been training Polish and Ukrainian specialists in the area of supporting people affected by war trauma as part of Master Training since December 2022 in the Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw.
