This specialization is focused on training future teachers qualified to work with children who need individual assistance in both correcting various disorders and compensating for some deficiencies that impair the process of learning. It also provides students with additional qualifications that enable them to work as teachers of early education programs, especially in integrated schools. Early School Education and Corrective-Compensatory Education is a new teacher specialization that is very much in demand on the contemporary market of education services.
All members of our first graduating class succeeded in finding jobs corresponding to their qualifications and interests and found employment in various special education and rehabilitation centers, common rooms, integrated schools, pre-schools, early school education programs, special residential schools and in long-term treatment and rehabilitation facilities.
SPECIALIZATION: Corrective -Compensatory Education

This specialization is focused on training future teachers to work with children who need individual assistance in learning; the assistance involves both correcting disorders and compensating for some deficiencies that affect this process.
Working with children with special and specific education needs requires expertise in the following areas:
-ability to develop a multi-faceted diagnosis for each individual case;
-ability to plan and design appropriate corrective and compensatory programs corresponding to a child’s individual needs;
-ability to stimulate and motivate a child towards independent learning;
-ability to help a child develop a sense of self-confidence and self-reliance, a desire for success and accomplishment;
SPECIALIZATION: Pre-school Education

The licentiates/graduates are qualified to provide appropriate education to both children and their families; they are also able to cooperate with local entities to help ensure best possible conditions and opportunities for children to develop. Consequently, the licentiates/ graduates can be employed as:
-pre-school teachers in public and private kindergartens;
- community counselors to assist families with young children;
- leading liaisons to supervise the transition from the pre-school age to elementary school education;
SPECIALIZATION: Psychopedagogy of Creativity – The Study of Creative Approaches in Education

The curriculum involves the following:
-psychology, philosophy, and sociology of creative thought;
-study of innovative thinking;
- study of alternative and creative thinking and teaching; (alternative pedagogy)
-psychological trainings and workshops, and other subjects.
Students will be able to choose subjects according to their personal preferences.
This specialization welcomes ambitious, creatively minded students capable of innovative thinking.
SPECIALIZATION: Career Advising

Upon completion of this specialization the licentiates will demonstrate knowledge and practical skills in the following subject areas:
- general education, sociology and psychology relating to career advising;
- assessment of needs
-actual practice of career advising;
-creating one’s own plans of action (methods)
-practice of career advising for individuals with disabilities that involves:
-referring disabled persons to specialized training centers;
-cooperating with establishments providing disability benefits;
-counseling regarding self-employment in commerce or agriculture, as well as
-cooperating with establishments dedicated to social rehabilitation and vocational counseling;
SPECIALIZATION: Andragogy – Education of Adult Individuals

Upon completion of this specialization the licentiates will demonstrate knowledge and practical skills in the following subject areas:
- basics of general education, sociology and psychology necessary to understand the socio-cultural context of education of adult persons as well as to be able to shape and manage one’s own career development;
- practical communication skills;
- diagnostic skills: ability to assess education needs;
- ability to create and successfully execute one’s own plans (methods) of action;
- ability to reflect upon the role of one’s own career as well as to better understand the meaning of educational reality.
SPECIALIZATION: Socio-Cultural Animation

Upon graduation students will be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills pertaining to the following subject areas:
- basics of general education, sociology, psychology and anthropology regarding human development;
- general knowledge concerning culture and art;
- practical skills in the field of plastic arts, literature, music and film;
- ability to stimulate a participation of children, youth and various groups of adults in cultural activities;
- knowledge of biological and psychological characteristics of human development as they manifest themselves at each stage of life;
- ability to assess the needs and the capabilities of individuals as well as of local communities in regard to culture, education, and various social issues;
- ability to launch social initiatives and to design programs from the area of material and symbolic culture as well as the culture of interpersonal relations;
The licentiate should also be able to understand and appreciate the significance of tradition and ritual and the role that they play in shaping and identifying one’s cultural identity, as well as the significance of an individual’s self-expression through the medium of art.
SPECIALIZATION: Local Education Policy

This specialization is directed to students who will seek future employment in shaping education policies at the local level: such as village, township and county.
As a consequence of the reform of the national education system, which began a few years ago, school administration has become part of the authority of local government, communities, government and non-government agencies, as well as of the private sector.
Upon completion of this specialization, the licentiates will be sufficiently knowledgeable about issues involving local education policies, and thus qualified to cooperate in this field with various educational establishments, local government agencies, agencies of public administration, as well as with non-governmental organizations.
SPECIALIZATION: Media Education

The licentiate will be prepared to meet the challenges connected with varied functions of media, particularly in regard to education, and the media’s dynamically growing capabilities in the modern world.
The licentiate will have general knowledge as well as knowledge regarding social communication and multi-media training.

The program of this specialization is focused on the issues of care-giving, social work and education in both natural environment and in various social and educational establishments.
The main areas of study comprise:
-diverse family issues, and how they affect a child’s education and upbringing;
-the role of schools, shelters, social and cultural centers, and how they assist and support both children and parents in various educational endeavors;
Upon completion, the licentiates / graduates will be fully qualified to provide comprehensive work involving social assistance and education to both a child and a family. Specifically, they will be able to:
- assess the problems that the families that they work with experience;
-provide appropriate assistance as well as social and psychological support;
-devise specialized education and care-giving programs, raise social awareness, and inspire local communities to actively assist the children and families in need;
Training in this specialization will serve the development and modernization of the following traditional functions fulfilled by schools and other social and educational establishments:
-providing social assistance and education;
-stimulating cultural and educational activities;
-preventing and rehabilitating.
SPECIALIZATION: Management in Education

The program of this specialization is focused on the issue of managing human resources. Upon completion, the graduates will be knowledgeable about the following subjects:
- understanding of the process of labor;
- functioning of an individual as an employee, a participant in the process of education activities, and as a member of a team at a workplace;
- understanding of an individual’s psychological and educational capacities to be able to fulfill the expectations of an employer;
- ways of resolving interpersonal conflicts at a workplace;
- understanding of the laws underlying the process of labor;
- understanding of the basic principles of business administration and management;
The graduates will be qualified to fill managerial positions in various types of educational establishments.
