The citizen science approach is a method of conducting scientific research that actively involves non-professional volunteers, citizens, in data collection, analysis, or observation. It leverages the contributions of individuals or communities to gather large-scale data or solve complex problems, often with guidance from professional scientists. This approach democratizes science, promotes public engagement, and enhances the understanding of scientific issues, making it a powerful tool for addressing environmental, social, and health challenges.
The presenters will be:
• Professor Olivier Lasvergas, who will discuss the lifelong experiences with Citizens Science
• Lauren Marie Campbell-Hansen, Region Zealand Denmark, who will discuss Citizens as an untapped potential in scientific research.
These presentations will be followed by a conversation on Citizen Science approaches in Europe and how this can influence the collaboration in ENTER.
We look forward to having you attend the event!
As a trial, this Webinar will be conducted using the new Microsoft Teams Webinar Facility.
