On March 5, 2025, the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda awarded the title of professor of social sciences in the discipline of pedagogy to Assoc. Prof. Irena Pospiszyl, PhD, from the Department of Resocialization, Criminology and Research in the Area of Human Rights of the Institute of Special Education of the MGU (APS).

The main research areas carried out by Ms. Professor are:

victims of interpersonal aggression, problems of social pathologies, contemporary trends in re-socialization, determinants of victimological vulnerability of victims of aggression, determinants of adaptation of the individual to difficult and traumatic situations, psychosocial correlates of behavior violating social norms, diagnosis of environments of high risk of crime, contemporary trends in corrective work with maladjusted persons.

We extend our sincere congratulations and wish ms Ms. Prof. good luck in her further professional development.

In addition, we are pleased to announce that Justyna Melonowska PhD of the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology has been awarded a postdoctoral degree of humanities in the discipline of philosophy!

The basis for the conferral of the degree were the monographs "The Maccabean Writings. Religion and Struggle", August Count Cieszkowski Foundation, Warsaw 2020, and "Jacobite Writings. Religion and Struggle", August Count Cieszkowski Foundation, Warsaw 2023.

We are also happy to announce that Anna Hryniewicka PhD from the Institute of Psychology has been awarded a postdoctoral degree of social sciences in the discipline of pedagogy!

The basis for obtaining the degree was a scientific achievement entitled "Toward a Human.... On the courage of creative thinking by Maria Grzegorzewska", APS Publishing House, Warsaw 2022.
