This new LAB aims to ensure the sustainability and growth of the outcomes of the EARLY-ASD project (Project No. 2024-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000246304, running from 01.11.2024 to 28.02.2027), extending its impact far beyond the project’s lifetime. Furthermore, the Lab develops and implements facultative courses for students of APS, especially future teachers, school councillors and pedagogues.
The LAB brings together experts from the Institute of Education, Institute of Psychology, Institute of Special Education, and the Doctoral School at APS. Its mission is to conduct cutting-edge research and disseminate knowledge on autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and neurodiversity in educational settings, especially during the early years of schooling.

Key Goals of the LAB:
- Build and maintain a knowledge hub and toolset for supporting children on the autism spectrum at early stages of education.
- Identify the needs of students and teachers regarding ASD and neurodiversity.
- Develop, test, and implement tools to support teachers, educators, support groups, and parents, with a focus on digital solutions and social stories.
- Design and deliver training courses for teachers and preservice teachers in the field of autism support.
- Apply for further research and development grants in this area.
