An agreement was signed between University of Regina's Centre for Socially Engaged Theatre and the UNESCO/Janusz Korczak Chair in Social Pedagogy at the Maria Grzegorzewska University, in order to establish cooperation in various areas related to cultural, educational and research activities, amongst others.

About this agreement, Prof. Dr. Taiwo Afolabi, Director of the Centre for Socially Engaged Theatre (University of Regina, Cananda), stated that:

"The MoU between the University of Regina's Centre for Socially Engaged Theatre and the UNESCO/Janusz Korczak Chair in Social Pedagogy at the Maria Grzegorzewska University in Warsaw, Poland is a strategic way of creating a partnership that will enrich both institutions. We aim to promote cooperation between the two institutions to encourage direct contact and collaboration between our students, faculty, research and respective communities. An example of such is the attendance of two of URegina's doctoral students at the 16th UNESCO/Janusz Korczak Chair International Summer School 2023. Further, the MoU will be an opportunity to envision ways to amplify research efforts by the Canada Research Chair in Socially Engaged Theatre and the UNESCO/Janusz Chair in Social Pedagogy at our institutions. Both parties wish to establish a spirit of shared cooperation and to build long-term relationships for the benefit of our institutions."
