EDUCATORE update. Project Management Meeting at UGhent (Belgium)

27-03-2023

Project EDUCATORE: End of Disaster: Undoing Crisis. Active Tutors Open to Reflective Education comes into a new phase this year.

After a fruitful Project Management Meeting with UGhent Team at Ghent and Brugge, organized by Prof. Rudi Roose (Head of Social Work Department) and Prof. Lieve Bradt (Social Pedagogy Department), it is time to submit project scientific outcomes, which are significant for the array of literature on post-covid education, well-being in education and social work settings.

The prospective outcomes are supported by empirical research-based findings. The partners from Zagreb University in Croatia (Prof. Adrijana Višnjić-Jevtić, Prof. Višnja Rajić), Universitatea din Oradea (Dr Julien Kiss, Dr Ciprian Simut) and the Maria Grzegorzewska University (Prof. Anna Odrowaz-Coates, Prof. Anna Perkowska-Klejman) prepared the website content and the schedule for dissemination events to share their findings on the enhancement of well-being and resilience in the times of crisis.

By the end of this year, we may expect to see the project website with the research report, academic publications, curriculum proposal for a course on well-being and resilience and a retrospective on training and events that bring together academic teachers and students from several countries.
The Team discussed the cooperation with the European Sociological Association ESA Research Network on Education RN10, which is a partner for the upcoming conference in Warsaw: SOCIOLOGY OF EDUCATION: WELLBEING AND RESILIENCE IN THE TIMES OF CRISIS (21-22.09.2023), where the data will be shared. Moreover, the project website will be launched, and the exchange of other academic research will take place, to bring together the volume of knowledge from different parts of the world, related to well-being and resilience in times of crisis.

EDUCATORE: End of Disaster: Undoing Crisis. Active Tutors Open to Reflective Education is the EU-funded project for the well-being of teachers, students, and professionals supporting children 2022-2024, in cooperation with the University of Oradea (Romania), UGhent (Belgium) and Zagreb University (Croatia).
