The initiative led by UGent and Prof. Rudi Roose takes place in Osijek to diversify its location from the ‘old’ EU countries to the ‘newer’ ones.
Professors Anna Perkowska-Klejman and Anna Odrowaz-Coates, present in Osijek reflected that it is a very good opportunity to renew our university’s connection with Osijek University and to familiarise with the local circumstances and nuances. The area offers rich and complex historical and cultural heritage, including Homeland War (Croatian war for independence), relations with neighbouring states, landscapes of Drawa, and intercultural influences of the Balkans and the Mediterranean. APS has an Erasmus exchange agreement with Osijek and we hope it will become more lively after this visit.
