APS with a study visit to OsloMet

The partners of the "APS - Acceptance, Participation, Solidarity" project are sharing best practices in the area of university social responsibility and sustainable development (SOU and ZR).

The representatives of Maria Grzegorzewska University in OsloMet - one of the most advanced partner universities in the area of SOU and ZR - are currently on a study visit. Between May 2-5, under the grant from Norwegian Funds, we are exchanging the best practices in this field.

- OsloMet is interested in comparing curricula in social and special pedagogy in Poland and Norway, as well as in joint research in this area - said Anna Perkowska-Klejman, PhD, head of the Department of Social Pedagogy, during one of the meetings, and Anna Odrowąż-Coates, PhD, Vice-rector for Development, emphasized:

- The project APS - Acceptance, Participation, Solidarity has become an indispensable element of the preparations for signing the Declaration of Social Responsibility of the University" -

During the study visit, Aleksandra Borycka-Dziekańska, M.A., Coordinator for SOU and ZR met with her counterparts Ellin Wyller and Tom Syvertsen, and Katarzyna Kruś-Kubaszewska, M.A., prepared Erasmus+ exchange agreements and a list of building adaptations for people with disabilities.

Anette Antonsen, Department of behavioral science, the social educator program presented study programs at the intersection of behavioral science and pedagogy.

Emrys Gerritse proposed an intriguing Student exchange to OsloMet.

APS researchers Anette Antonsen, Maintenance of functional skills in people with dementia, Marte Haugen: The use of VR glasses in teaching, Hilde Lunde, Sexual health and Living with HIV, Tone Arneberg, Challenging situations in working with people with intellectual disabilities, were invited to joint research.

During the busy first week of May, the Steering Group also conducted study visits to educational institutions, kindergartens and support centers for people with disabilities, including the famous Kapellveien. These visits are coordinated by Dr Ewa Lewandowska from the Institute for Human Development and Education.
