On 25–28 November, Dr Agnieszka Siedler, Dr Ewa Odachowska-Rogalska and Dr Krystyna Heland-Kurzak represented the Maria Grzegorzewska University (APS) at the next transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ EARLY-ASD project, hosted by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) in Spain.
The project “EARLY-ASD – Upskilling Preservice Teachers to Support Young Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder through Digital Social Stories” focuses on developing innovative digital tools, a training course and methodological guidelines for preschool and early primary teachers, to better support children aged 3–7 on the autism spectrum. The project strengthens teachers’ competencies in inclusive education, early intervention, and in fostering children’s social and emotional skills through easily accessible digital social stories.
During the Madrid meeting, partners worked in particular on Work Package 5 – Sharing and Promotion Activities. They reviewed progress and agreed next steps regarding: the project website (available in five languages), social media channels (Facebook and Instagram), a series of four e‑newsletters to be translated into all partner languages, and blog articles on (1) social and emotional development in children with ASD and (2) the digitalisation of social stories, including its benefits, challenges and opportunities.
