The meeting began with integration workshops, led by Dr. Lidia Zablocka-Zytka. During them, participants had the opportunity to hear about interesting places in Poland and Europe.
Then, during refreshments, participants tasted traditional dishes from Europe, including Polish sweets, Spanish meats, Greek salad and Irish crisp sandwiches.
Later, students who came to us as part of the Erasmus+ exchange presented interesting facts about their countries. They showed the participants hot Spain, beautiful Ireland and culturally rich Greece.
Next, the Polish students presented tongue twisters, which the foreign students tried to pronounce.
At the end, everyone danced traditional dances: the Greek Zorba, the Polonaise and the Belgian. It was an opportunity to have fun together and strengthen ties between Polish and foreign students.
We are happy that we were able to organize this day. We would like to thank Dr. Krystyna Heland-Kurzak, Dr. Lidia Zablocka-Zytka and Prof. Anna Odrowąż-Coates for organizing and animating the event. Thanks are also due to the very committed Polish and foreign students. We hope that this event will influence the popularization of international exchanges among our students and beyond.
